FEBRUARY UPDATE
TOKYO EXCLUSIVE
Creating an exclusive stained glass collection for Mill Valley in Yakuma, Tokyo marks a pivotal moment in my evolving practice. When I stepped away from wholesale, I knew I would eventually return to releasing limited collections—but only with stores that hold real meaning for me. This approach allows my work to continue existing in select retail spaces without defining my practice, giving me the freedom to focus on projects that wouldn't have fit within the open-edition model.
Next month, I'll be in Japan for a special pop-up, and I look forward to sharing more about that soon!
With my kiln now fully dialed in after extensive testing, I'm pushing into new creative directions and will be releasing more limited-edition pieces throughout the year. My email subscribers will always have first access before these drops are announced publicly.
WATERCOLOR PORTRAITS
As you may remember, I began my journey into watercolor paintings last year. After years of working in acrylic, oil pastels and ink, I took an introductory course on watercolor painting and quickly found my way to doing pet portraits. I am now taking a limited number of commissions. You can see more examples of this new series and an online submission form here!
STAINED GLASS
Nearly two years into exclusively creating bespoke commissioned works, I remain just as excited to see my pieces come to life in their intended spaces. Each project is a collaboration, and it's always rewarding when a client shares a glimpse of the finished installation.
Right now, my studio is filled with projects at various stages of completion. Unlike the past, when I frequently shared updates on smaller works, these larger commissions require longer lead times—but the results are always worth it.
Below is a classic leaded panel I designed and fabricated for a newly constructed pony wall with a wood gate entrance. I created a pair of these for the space, and I look forward to sharing the full reveal soon!
