Previous Seasons

From 2014 to 2023, Debbie Bean's stained glass was carried by over 200 retailers internationally. Working in seasonal collections with evolving colorways, the studio produced geometric suncatchers and panels that established a distinct visual language within contemporary design retail.

The practice drew from fashion's release structure: consistent forms, rotating palettes, scheduled drops. This systematic approach to distribution hadn't existed in stained glass before.

These early works established the formal vocabulary that now shapes the studio's architectural commissions and site-specific installations. The shift from retail to bespoke architectural work allowed for deeper investigation into the same core concerns: how light, color, and geometric form activate space.

The pieces shown here document that foundation.
