ZEDD Telos Lightbox
SCOPE OF WORK - ZEDD Telos inspired 24" x 26" stained glass lightbox
Below: Side by side comparison near completion stage.

DETAILS - Created as a gift for Anton Zaslavski and installed at the entrance to his recording studio, this piece draws from the visual language of his Telos album while reimagining it entirely through glass. Rather than replicate the digital artwork, I approached the design as if the stained glass lightbox were the source material, and the album cover a later translation. That inversion became the foundation for the work, guiding every decision in form, color, and texture.
The project evolved into a deep study of material and method, asking how light, color, and structure could embody sound. Composed of more than 350 individually cut pieces of contemporary, vintage, and rare glass, the work honors traditional stained glass craftsmanship while expanding its expressive range. Each piece was chosen not only for its tonal quality but for how it would behave when the lightbox was unlit.
This duality defines the piece: illuminated, it becomes a vivid composition of movement and rhythm; unlit, it transforms into a quiet field of pattern and reflection. Installed within Zedd’s Encino home designed by Jae Omar, the lightbox functions as both sculpture and architectural element, a meditation on translation, authorship, and the relationship between sound and light.
